Why the Packers traded up to get WR Amari Rodgers

To say the Packers were happy to get him would probably be an understatement. The team thinks Rodgers can be an impact player for the Packers – on offense and special teams – right away.

“His pedigree, his performance in college at a big-time stage were things that comforted us and feeling like he could step in and be a productive player for us early in his career,” Gutekunst said.

Gutekunst and his staff were enamored with Rodgers’ fit in the Matt LaFleur offense. He said the Packers have been looking for this type of player – a dynamic playmaker in the slot – for at least the last two years.

Elijah Moore Highlights

Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore
Junior 5’9 185 lbs

Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore has had a very interesting college career. He’s been one of the best players on the team the last couple of years, but has been getting more attention for his costly celebration penalty against Mississippi State in the 2019 Egg Bowl. It’s good to see Moore move on & perform well on the field. Ole Miss has been producing really good receivers lately in DK Metcalf & AJ Brown, so Moore looks to be the next one to make it to the NFL.

Kings of Cannabis

You might not know who Arjan Roskam is, but you’ve probably smoked his weed. Arjan’s been breeding some of the most famous marijuana strains in the world—like White Widow, Super Silver Haze, and many others—for over 20 years.

In 1992 he opened his first coffee shop in Amsterdam and has since crafted his marijuana-breeding skills into a market-savvy empire known as Green House Seed Company, which rakes in millions of dollars a year.

He’s won 38 Cannabis Cups and has dubbed himself the King of Cannabis.

VICE joins Arjan and his crew of strain hunters in Colombia to look for three of the country’s rarest types of weed, strains that have remained genetically pure for decades. In grower’s terms, these are called landraces. We trudge up mountains and crisscross military checkpoints in the country’s still-violent south, and then head north to the breathtaking Caribbean coast. As the dominoes of criminalization fall throughout the world, Arjan is positioned to be at the forefront of the legitimate international seed trade.

The comment appeared to shock host Brian Stelter, who prompted Bernstein to explain his remark.

Chase, J. – Cin (WR)

Ja’Marr Chase 2021 Fantasy Football profile: Re-draft impact, Dynasty outlook, NFL scouting report, more (6/23) Advice: It’s no surprise Bengals QB Joe Burrow reportedly lobbied for for his team to draft Chase at No. 5 overall. The two connected for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns on 84 receptions (21.2 ypc) in 14 games in 2019 on a roster that included Jefferson, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Terrace Marshall. With A.J. Green gone, and the Bengals defense still likely to lead to so many pass-heavy game scripts, there’s no better landing spot for Chase than in Cincinnati. This is a dream come true type landing spot for Chase and it will be a boon to the Fantasy value of Burrow as well.
While there will be a lot of options to feed for the Bengals with both Tyler Boyd and promising second-year WR Tee Higgins, but the volume should be up across the board as they are likely to find themselves in pass-heavy games with a defense that is still a couple years away and just lost top pass rusher Carl Lawson to free agency. Slayton, D. – NYG (WR70)

2021 fantasy player outlook for Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants (6/23) Advice: Darius Slayton went from a rookie sensation to a sophomore slump, but hopefully Year 3 will be better for him in 2021. However, it’s hard to count on him with the Giants adding Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and John Ross this offseason, while also still having Sterling Shepard on the roster. We expect Slayton to play ahead of Ross, but that’s a situation to monitor. Hopefully, Slayton can make enough plays to make him Fantasy viable in deeper leagues. He only had five games with at least 11 PPR points in 2020 after he had six games with at least that total in 2019, and he still has plenty to prove this season. If Slayton continues to be a starting receiver for the Giants then he could have value in deeper leagues, but he probably won’t get drafted in most formats this year. Keep an eye on his role in training camp, and Slayton could end up as a waiver wire addition during the season if things go right despite the now-crowded receiving corps for the Giants. (

Ja’Marr Chase Draft Scout

Star LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase will attend the NFL draft in person in Cleveland, which means the highly rated prospect will participate in the league’s ceremonious return to its more usual fanfare after the coronavirus pandemic forced the annual event to be done virtually last year. Chase is projected to be a high first-round pick, and some mock drafts have him going as high as No. 5 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals, where he’d rejoin former LSU teammate Joe Burrow, or No. 6 overall to the Miami Dolphins. The NFL announced last month that the draft, which takes place April 29 until May 1, will be held in iconic Cleveland locations, including FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center. – Baton Rouge Advocate
