AG pick Garland talks cannabis enforcement (Newsletter: February 23, 2021)

“Here’s a non-violent crime with respect to usage that does not require us to incarcerate people, and we’re incarcerating at significantly different rates of the different communities. That is wrong, and it’s the kind of problem that will then follow a person for the rest of their lives. It will make it impossible to get a job, it will lead to downward economic spiral for their family.”

The Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar Opens in South End

I’ve smoked six cigars in the past 28 years and after the first four, I swore I would never do it again. That is, until I ended up at a VIP/media preview of The Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar in South End, where I figured I would indulge in another stogie just for the experience of it all. Maybe it’s because I am extremely sophisticated as a 28-year-old, or maybe it’s because The Vintage’s house blend — by cigar curator Giannis Koutsoupias — is of some extraordinary cultivation, but at the point when I should have left, I ordered another.

Psychedelics: The scientific renaissance of mind-altering drugs | Sam Harris, Michael Pollan & more

There is a stigma surrounding psychedelic drugs that some scientists and researchers argue is undeserved. How they work is not completely understood, but the empirical evidence shows promise in the fields of curbing depression, anxiety, obsession, and even addiction to other substances.

The Ideal Target for Every NFL Team in 2021 Free Agency

It’s never wise for an NFL team to build its foundation through free agency. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a good argument against this idea by building a Super Bowl roster with free agents like Leonard Fournette, Shaquil Barrett, Ndamukong Suh, Antonio Brown and, of course, Tom Brady.

NFL Trade Rumors: Stephon Gilmore, Zach Ertz, ‘High-End’ Names Linked to Talks

Salary-cap restraints around the NFL could lead to several big names being moved in trades or released this offseason.

According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins and New Orleans Saints receiver Emmanuel Sanders could all be traded in the coming weeks.

Patrick, T. – Den (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for Tim Patrick, WR, Denver Broncos (6/23) Advice: Tim Patrick is coming off a career year in Denver, but the odds are stacked against him repeating it. With Courtland Sutton out for most of the year and Jerry Jeudy struggling, Patrick posted career-bests across the board to lead the team. Sutton’s coming back strong, Jeudy figures to improve in his second season, KJ Hamler could also take on a bigger role, and the quarterback situation is still messy. Patrick will have to compete for playing time, meaning Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect a repeat of 2020. Don’t draft him unless it’s with a very late pick in the deepest of PPR leagues. Arizona ER Doctor Visibly Stunned By Video Of Trump Rally: ‘Dangerous And Stupid’

An emergency room doctor described the behavior of the people who attended a crowded, indoor rally for former President Donald Trump as extremely dangerous and stupid amid soaring COVID-19 case rates in the area.
“If you make a dumb decision about your own health, on one level you could say, ‘Well, it’s your life,’” said Dr. Murtaza Akhter, who works on the COVID-19 frontline with Valleywise Health in Phoenix. “But when it’s infectious disease that’s this contagious and affects so many people, you’re not just affecting yourself, you’re affecting everybody around you.”

Who Is Kelly Loeffler? Narrated by Natalie Portman | NowThis

Kelly Loeffler is an unelected incumbent Republican senator from Georgia whose shady financial maneuverings and refusal to acknowledge the actual winner of the presidential election have made headlines nationwide.

As Kelly Loeffler’s re-election bid goes to a runoff against Democrat Raphael Warnock in January 2021, let’s take a look at the career of a WNBA co-owner turned legislator on behalf of a state that did not vote for her. Natalie Portman narrates the story of Kelly Lynn Loeffler.

Claim of Michigan Postal Fraud Is Moot

A video from a right-wing activist suggests that U.S. Postal Service employees backdated ballots in Michigan. The claim is unproven, but, even if true, no ballots in the state are accepted after Nov. 3, regardless of the postmark.

WHY THE BRABUS 800 ADVENTURE XLP IS THE ULTIMATE SUPER TRUCK

With the world seemingly getting crazier every day, some city folk are running to the hills—both figuratively and literally— boosting the market for truly robust, burly off-road vehicles. Arguably topping the leaderboard runs the Brabus 800 Adventure XLP GWagen—what the elite German aftermarket tuner is dubbing a “supercar with a pickup bed.”

Ten plays showing off Justin Fields’ arm strength

The 2021 NFL draft will be here before you know it, and that means we’ll be hunting some Ohio State players’ names being called during the annual spectacle. With all the players OSU sends to the NFL, it’s almost become an annual right to see a scarlet and gray hue to the proceedings.

Lamb, C. – Dal (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys (6/23) Advice: CeeDee Lamb had a solid rookie campaign in 2020, and he should have the chance to be even better this season with a healthy Dak Prescott (ankle). Lamb is worth drafting as early as Round 4 in all leagues as a high-end No. 2 Fantasy receiver. Had Prescott stayed healthy last season then Lamb might have been among the best receivers in the NFL since he was on pace for 93 catches and 1,385 yards through his first five games. Hopefully, that’s the kind of production we get from Lamb all season with Prescott back at 100 percent. (CBSSports.com)

Kualoa Ranch

If you’re planning a trip to Hawaii, the Jurassic Park Movie Tour should be on the “to-do” list. This was one of the fun tours I’ve done. The tour is in an open window bus. Our driver Devin was so funny, he had these corny jokes but it kept us entertained. The tour itself is 90 minutes long with a few stops to take pictures and they have a little museum building with different props from movies that were filmed at the Ranch. The scenic views during the tour was spectacular – bright blue ocean water, jungle green hills, historic agricultural. They have a gift shop, and a small food court. Parking is free… was the tour based solely on the movie Jurassic Park? No. Which is a little disappointing but I can’t complain because the beauty of Hawaii is the island itself and we had a blast.

Bogus Theory Claims Supercomputer Switched Votes in Election

A baseless conspiracy theory claims that a secret supercomputer was used to switch millions of votes from Donald Trump to Joe Biden. Experts — and the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency — have said the theory is a hoax and that safeguards, including paper trails, would deter such an effort.
