Brown, J. – LV (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for John Brown, WR, Las Vegas Raiders (6/23) Advice: John Brown signed with the Raiders this offseason, and he could be the No. 1 receiver in Las Vegas this year. Brown should be considered a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues, and he’s worth drafting with a mid-round pick. Brown had a down season in Buffalo in 2020, which was marred by injuries, and he missed eight games and parts of others. When healthy, he had five outings with at least 13 PPR points in the eight games he appeared in. He should step into Nelson Agholor’s role as the No. 1 receiver for Derek Carr, and Agholor just had 48 catches for 896 yards and eight touchdowns on 82 targets. The Raiders’ top pass-catcher should remain tight end Darren Waller, and we’ll see if Henry Ruggs III can improve in his second year. But Brown should see close to 100 targets and has the chance to be productive in this offense. (CBSSports.com)

Restaurant Kuni & Lounge

Restaurant Kunio has met the challenges in our new 2021 world. They continue to safely provide excellent dishes while dining in or with take out orders.
I always enjoy dining in, the customer service and ambience of Kunio’s ensures comfort while indulging a meal from their brilliant menu.
Rid eye steak on a sizzling platter with teriyaki sauce on the side has got to be one of my favorites. And if you are really hungry you can add a lobster tail to the platter.

The DOJ Won’t Defend Rep. Mo Brooks In Court Against Claims He Incited The Jan. 6 Riot

The Justice Department rejected a request by Alabama Republican Rep. Mo Brooks for legal protection in court against a lawsuit linking him to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Brooks, former President Donald Trump and others were sued by Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., earlier this year. Swalwell alleges that Brooks and others named in the lawsuit helped incite a mob of Trump supporters on Jan. 6 during a pro-Trump rally.

The group later charged the U.S. Capitol building. Five people died that day.

Trump pumps $348,000 into Ohio GOP primary after Texas loss to avoid going 0-2

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump’s political action committee bought $348,081 worth of advertising in the Republican congressional primary in Ohio’s 15th District, where a Trump-backed candidate is facing a crowded GOP field.

The large, last-minute ad purchase by the Make America Great Again Action PAC was made Tuesday, the same day another Trump-backed House candidate, Susan Wright, lost in a special election in Texas’ 6th Congressional District.

McConnell: ‘Stupid’ for corporations to speak out on politics

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday blasted U.S. corporations for getting involved in national political debates, saying such decisions are alienating to consumers.

The Associated Press reported that McConnell made the remarks at a press conference, referring to criticism of Georgia’s new voting law by Coca-Cola and other companies.

“It’s quite stupid to jump in the middle of a highly controversial issue,” McConnell told reporters.

Nocturnal Adventures Hawaii

A truly one-of-a-kind experience. Reserve your Friday night for the Nocturnal Adventure! You meet up with your paddleboard instructors a little before sunset on Waikiki Beach. They usually take a group of about 10? They give you a quick lesson and you paddle out into the water while enjoying the beautiful sunset view ON the sea. It’s not as challenging as one might think! Then the cherry on top: the Friday fireworks show. Seeing the fireworks reflect on the ocean while you’re in the water – wow – it’s just breathtaking. That alone makes it 1000% worth it! Highly recommend.

U.S. refusal to defend lawmaker in Capitol riot a signal to Trump -experts

WASHINGTON, July 29 (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department’s refusal to defend a Republican congressman accused in a civil lawsuit of helping to incite the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol could hamper former President Donald Trump’s legal defense in the same case, experts said.

The department late Tuesday told a federal judge it had declined a request by Representative Morris “Mo” Brooks to grant him immunity by covering him under the Westfall Act, which shields federal employees from being sued for their words or actions in the course of their employment.

Meyers, J. – NE (WR)

NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran would “put (his) cash” on Jakobi Meyers being “the most reliable and productive Patriots wideout in 2021.” (7/9)
Advice: A longtime, keen observer of the Pats, Curran joins with the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan in predicting Meyers might not fall off as much as people think following the Pats’ offseason spending spree at receiver and tight end. Essentially the only game in town for the Pats’ disastrously-undermanned 2020 receiver corps, Meyers caught 59 balls for 729 yards. Amazingly, he is still looking for his first career score through 85 catches, but the end zone was not a common occurrence for last year’s Cam Newton-led attack. Meyers has more or less been ADP-less so far this spring/summer, typically checking in around the WR80-90 range. He’s a zero-risk flier and a must-add in all formats.

Smith-Schuster, J. – Pit (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (6/23) Advice: JuJu Smith-Schuster is a high-end No. 2 WR worth a selection as early as Round 4 in PPR leagues. If his efficiency regresses to his career norm, he could be even more than that. Smith-Schuster saw his yards per catch plummet to 8.6 in 2020, more than five yards per catch off his career average heading into the year. Considering he caught 97 passes, that’s a lot of meat left on the bone. Part of that was due to his average depth of target, which crashed to 5.5 yards, but he also did less after the catch. Considering his age, we should expect at least some bounce back, which gives him WR1 upside. (CBSSports.com)

Dynasty 2021 Rookie Stock Watch **Season Preview and Way Too Early Rankings**

Folks, we are a little over 1 month away from the 2021 Draft, and the hype train is slowly building up. Like you, I’m looking ahead with great anticipation to the Draft and a summer of freedom after I get my vaccines.

Before the 2020 season started, I did a mildly popular Rookie Stock Watch with weekly updates throughout the entire season and a final report last month. The 2020 class was truly special but our work continues. We’re now looking ahead to the 2021 class. This first post will be to attempt to establish a bit of a baseline for where I feel the players stand while their draft capital is speculative and their landing spot is completely unknown (except for Trevor Lawrence, who we can assume is 1.01 and a Jaguar).
