Dynasty Fantasy Football Tiers: A shortage of QB1s until we see more from Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and others

For years the mantra about quarterback has remained the same: Just wait. There was so much talent and the gap between the best and the merely “good” was smaller than at other positions. Plus, it was extremely rare for the No. 1 quarterback to repeat in the following year. It was easy, in redraft at least, to just wait.

In Dynasty the equation has always been slightly different because quarterbacks have the longest careers, so locking up a young elite signal caller carried more value. That value has been enhanced over the past three years as a handful of quarterbacks have turned in elite performances before their 25th birthday.

Biden awards ‘long overdue’ Medal of Honor to retired Col. Ralph Puckett Jr.

President Joe Biden and President Moon Jae-in, the leader of South Korea, commended the actions Friday of Col. Ralph Puckett Jr., a Korean War veteran who was awarded the Medal of Honor in a ceremony at the White House.

Before awarding Puckett the medal Friday, Biden described him as “true American hero” for whom the recognition was long overdue.

“Korea is sometimes called the forgotten war, but those men who were there under then-lieutenant Puckett’s command never forgot his bravery,” Biden said. “They never forgot he was right by their side every minute of it.”

Puckett, 94, earned the medal for actions he took more than 70 years ago, in November 1950. As a young first lieutenant in the Korean War, Puckett commanded the Eighth Army Ranger Company during a mission to seize “Hill 205” and defend it against a series of assaults by the Chinese. He risked his life multiple times to draw enemy fire, call for artillery strikes, check the perimeter and deliver ammunition to his soldiers.

President Biden Really Needs to Try British Candy

With Lisa Kudrow on the show, James tries to gauge which “Friends” character Reggie Watts and some The Late Late Show team are most like. And President Joe Biden’s first trip abroad really does need to include eating British candy – which James feels sits atop the candy superiority pyramid.

Fields, J. – Chi (QB)

Could Justin Fields be the second-best (or even THE best) QB in the 2021 draft class? (5/11) Advice: Fields could be a starting-caliber Fantasy option as soon as he is the starter. Think of guys like Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, or Jalen Hurts in recent years doing so. Fields wasn’t as prolific a rusher as those guys in college, but he’s got all the physical tools to be a plus rusher. If Fields was going to start from Week 1, I would probably rank him as a top-12 QB for Fantasy. (CBSSports.com)

Samuel, C. – Was (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Football Team (6/23) Advice: Game film advocates pointed to Curtis Samuel’s ability to seamlessly create separation on vertical routes in 2019 (only for Cam Newton to not recognize or not accurately reach him) as a reason he could break out in 2020, but ultimately, the connection with Teddy Bridgewater wasn’t much better. Now, in 2021, he reunites with his former OC Scott Turner in Washington, and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is sneakily efficient in the vertical passing game. Samuel makes for an intriguing mid-round flier in his new setting. (CBSSports.com)

Elijah Moore Highlights

Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore
Junior 5’9 185 lbs

Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore has had a very interesting college career. He’s been one of the best players on the team the last couple of years, but has been getting more attention for his costly celebration penalty against Mississippi State in the 2019 Egg Bowl. It’s good to see Moore move on & perform well on the field. Ole Miss has been producing really good receivers lately in DK Metcalf & AJ Brown, so Moore looks to be the next one to make it to the NFL.

Trump Decries “Cancel Culture,” Calls On Republicans to Boycott More Companies

Former President Donald Trump said “cancel culture” has run amok, so Republicans better start making their own cancelations. Trump issued a bitter message Saturday in which he stoked divisions over Georgia’s restrictive new voting law. It came a day after he urged a boycott of “woke companies,” including Major League Baseball for moving its All-Star Game out of Georgia. He later expanded the list of companies that he says supporters should boycott for opposing Georgia’s voting restrictions.
