How To Make Dale Degroeff’s Yellow Bird Cocktail | Booze On The Rocks
Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make a Yellow Bird cocktail. This cocktail is noted in the New Craft of The Cocktail by Dale Degreoff as an original creation. Interestingly, between the original Craft of The Cocktail and the revised edition. Dale suggests using Mount Gay Eclipse Rum in the new edition. However, I used Appleton Reserve 8. with the Galiano Vanilla and Dry Curacao, which gives it a light sweetness with orange notes, with the rum standing proud. This cocktail is an excellent sipper for after-dinner. Try it out, and let me know what you think.

Yellow Bird Cocktail Recipe
YELLOW BIRD
- 2 oz/60 ml Jamaican RUM
- .75 oz/22.5 ml Orange Curacao
- .5 oz/15 ml Galliano Vanilla
- .75 oz/22.5 ml Lime Juice
Method
1. Add all of the ingredients to the shaker tin.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Pour into a Martini glass.
4. Garnish with a Lime twist.
