NFL: Predicting 2020’s workhorse running backs

A new NFL season is upon us, which means one thing: The rushing title is up for grabs again. And when it comes to winning your Fantasy Football leagues you have to make sure you hit on your first running back. Locking down a cornerstone of your offense means you just need one more RB to hit to make sure you’re competitive in that department.

Here’s our list of workhorse running backs you can be confident to give you steady, solid, healthy production all year long.

Saquon Barkley

QUICK HITS: Unparalleled measurables and work ethic, an improved offensive line, second year quarterback, back to full health, strong finish to 2019.

Saquon Barkley is one of the best running backs ever to come into the league. His role is cemented in this offense and he has the talent to do incredible things. Last year Saquon dealt with a subpar offensive line and rookie quarterback on top of a severe high ankle sprain that lingered throughout most of the season. That being said, he still finished off the season with averaging over 179 yards from scrimmage, 3.67 receptions, and 1.67 TDs per game over the last 3 games.

FEARLESS FORECAST: It will be hard to repeat his late season production over the course of a full season; but averaging 150 scrimmage yards, 3 receptions, and 1 TD per game seems very attainable:

2,400 yards from scrimmage | 48 receptions | 16 TDs

Christian McCaffrey

Alvin Kamara

Dalvin Cook

Joe Mixon

Ezekiel Elliott

Kenyan Drake

Nick Chubb

Derrick Henry

Aaron Jones

Josh Jacobs

Chris Carson

James Conner

David Johnson
