Fantasy Football: Post-draft half-point PPR mock features a zero-RB strategy plus a modified version

Now is the time you should be doing mock drafts. Do as many as you can between now and your real draft. It’s the best way to prepare, and you can do all kinds of mock drafts on CBS Sports right here. I love doing mock drafts. If I could, I would do a mock draft every day from the time the Super Bowl ended until kickoff of the following season. I’m a junkie, I admit it. I’m addicted to drafting. My boss thinks it’s work to put together these mock drafts, but I have him fooled. This is fun.

Miami Dolphins: Best-case scenario 7-round 2021 mock draft

We are now 17 days away from the 2021 NFL Draft, and the excitement continues to grow as the Miami Dolphins enter the draft with five of the top 81 selections. Miami has two first-round picks, pick 6 and pick 18, and two second-round picks, pick 36 and pick 50. Those four picks paired with pick 81 give the Dolphins a unique opportunity to build their roster the right way through the draft.

Cardinals seven-round mock draft 4.0

We are just a few weeks away from the 2021 NFL Draft, and the Cardinals are continuing to slowly make depth moves, including bringing in Colt McCoy as the backup for Kyler Murray.. It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals trade out of either of their first two picks, especially because after their second-round pick, they don’t pick until the fifth round. However, if they decide to stay put, they can still get some nice valued picks where they are.

Here is the fourth edition of the Cardinals’ 2021 seven-round NFL mock draft.

NFL Mock Draft 2021: Predictions for Detroit Lions at No. 7

The 2021 NFL Draft is just weeks away and the Detroit Lions have a big decision to make in the top 10.
Holding the No. 7 pick, the Lions are ready to take anyone, depending on value. They could also trade the pick. With a new front office in place, it’ll be the first pick under general manager Brad Holmes.
With the team’s top receivers, Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. off to new teams, it appears the favorite pick for the Lions at No. 7 is a wide receiver. Luckily for them, there are some good ones in this class. But maybe a trade could change all of that.

Three-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: NFC West

The San Francisco 49ers are not that far removed from a place in the Super Bowl, so Niners fans will soon be looking at the quarterback John Lynch picks at No. 3 in the 2021 NFL Draft as the savior who can get them back to the pinnacle of the sport.

San Francisco does get a quarterback in this three-round NFC West mock draft, but it’s not the quarterback many will expect. Elsewhere in the division, the Seattle Seahawks came out on top last season but have almost no draft capital to get younger and better for 2021, while the Los Angeles Rams go another season without a first-round pick but do have a few middle-round picks to work with. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals continue to believe in their tremendous upside but are yet to put it all together on the field in the Kliff Kingsbury/Kyler Murray era.

Two-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Washington trades up for QB; Bears, Saints target QBs in Round 2

We’re less than three weeks out from the actual draft and the closer we get to April 29 the more it feels like certain players will end up with certain teams. The top two selections feel as close to sure things as you’ll have this time of year, and the 49ers also appear set to take their quarterback of the future. After that, however, this draft feels, to quote Bruce Arians, color commentator, “wide-ass open.”

2021 NFL Mock Draft: New England Patriots trade up for QB Mac Jones, Cincinnati Bengals take WR Ja’Marr Chase

A few weeks removed from a few blockbuster trades involving first-round draft picks, we have now all grown comfortable with the world where the San Francisco 49ers and Kyle Shanahan own the No. 3 overall selection — the first spot in the 2021 NFL Draft where some uncertainty exists.

We assume those first two picks are largely set in stone and that the real chaos unfolds from that point onward. So let’s put together a potential scenario in the form of my first 2021 NFL mock draft.

Mock Draft Roundup: April 12 Edition

The mock drafts have remained pretty consistent when it comes to projecting what the Miami Dolphins will do in the first round of the 2021 NFL drafts, in terms of prospects and positions.

And that hasn’t changed even after the Dolphins traded down from third to 12th in the first round and back up to sixth.

Based on 20 national mocks done after the two trades with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, the consensus is still for Miami to take a skill position player at number 6, followed by a defensive player at number 18.

49ers news: CBS Sports sticks with Mac Jones in latest mock draft

If you’re tired of the national media saying the San Francisco 49ers are going to select Alabama quarterback Mac Jones with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, you might want to put down your phones and turn off your computers — or at least avoid mocks — for the next couple of weeks until April 29.

Despite some back-and-forth chatter regarding whether or not the Niners are sold on a quarterback after trading up from No. 12 overall, it appears as if the idea Jones is head coach Kyle Shanahan’s top choice isn’t dissipating whatsoever.

2021 First-Round NFL Mock Draft: Updated Picks After Pro Days

We’re down to about a fortnight now.

It feels as though it was just yesterday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were whipping the Vince Lombardi Trophy around above the deep waters of the Hillsborough River, but that’s ancient history in terms of the NFL offseason, and free agency is already a memory.

We’re into the final countdown for the 2021 draft. And with basically the entire predraft process complete, we’re able to mock the draft with an increasingly clear picture.

Here’s our latest stab at it.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: The Steelers take an inside linebacker with their top pick

The 2021 NFL draft is now only 17 days away. With free agency winding down and all eyes on the upcoming NFL draft, the Steelers will have a lot of different draft scenarios which could shake out before making their first draft selection. Because the NFL combine will not be held, pro days are the best option to get player information. With the majority of these pro days concluded, it’s still difficult to gauge which players will move up draft boards while others fall.

Jets Wire’s 2021 NFL Mock Draft 7.0: Loading up on offensive weapons

With the 2021 NFL draft now just a couple of weeks away, we at Jets Wire have a new three-round mock.

Now that Sam Darnold is a member of the Panthers, New York’s plans for the No. 2 pick are coming into focus. Whether it be BYU’s Zach Wilson or Ohio State’s Justin Fields, the Jets are all but a lock to select a quarterback second overall.

Chiefs 2021 7-round mock draft v3.0: Trading down from first round

There are just 18 days to go until the 2021 NFL draft.

Each Monday leading up to the draft, I’ll be presenting a new 7-round mock draft scenario with a different theme. This week, we’re doing something that Brett Veach hasn’t done before during his tenure as general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs. We’re going to trade down and out of the first round of the draft.

Experts’ Most Popular Steelers 1st-Round Mock Draft Picks

It’s been a few years since the Steelers ended up with a “normal” 1st round pick.

In 2019, the Steelers made the — by their standards — uncommon move of trading up to draft Michigan linebacker Devin Bush at the No. 10 spot.

In 2020 the Steelers did the practically unthinkable, acquiring Miami Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in exchange for the team’s 1st round selection. The last time the Steelers had an uneventful 1st round was 2018 when they snagged Terrell Edmunds from Virginia Tech with the 28th pick.

Will the Steelers make a move this year? There has been some speculation about moving up to draft a quarterback, but with a lot of needs most prognosticators have the team sitting at 24th.
