The St. Regis San Francisco

What a fantastic hotel at the heart of SF!
The staff made sure that our stay was perfect. Really kind valet team, friendly reception, pristine room conditions, and awesome room ammenities. All the things you would expect at a hotel like St.Regis. Their pool was closed due to covid so I’ll have to come back when the pool opens up.
The in-room dining is a must! Everything we got was SO TASTY and we were able to enjoy it looking at the view from our room.

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco
757 Market St
$$$$ • Union Square
I chose Four Seasons SF to celebrate my husbands birthday on the weekend of Sep 20th.
It started out with a miscommunication within the hotel that created a disappointment on my side as I truly wanted this to be a surprise for my husband. The hotel immediately picked up the slack and went above and beyond to make things right. I’ve stayed at a few other Four Seasons but not this one, they all have wonderful service.
What impressed me the most with the SF one is that one of their managers Tiffany personally came to our room to apologize for the miscommunications. We were extremely impressed with their superlative staff and impeccable service, even our cleaning lady the next morning was as polite as can be.
This is probably one of, if not THE best service I’ve had with a 5star hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you Four Seasons SF staff for an amazing stay.
We’ll be back.

Inn at the Presidio
42 Moraga Ave Presidio Main Post
$$$ • Presidio
Hands down one of the best stays I’ve had. I wanted a place to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and this location was perfect. We checked in with a gentlemen named Jeffrey and he noticed it was my boyfriends birthday so he upgraded our room for free. Totally nice guy and such great customer service! The rooms were clean and spacious and loved the view from the third floor.
We went to dinner and returned with wine, cheese, and crackers in our room waiting for us. They also provided free breakfast the next morning which was awesome. There is even a Starbucks near by walking distance so we enjoyed the beautiful view we had. This place has to be our new getaway for the day. Enjoyed everything about it! Thanks for a awesome stay.

Omni San Francisco Hotel
500 California St
$$$ • Financial District
Had a lovely weekend stay at the Omni Hotel for a conference. It is conveniently located in the heart of downtown SF and is walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and attractions — it’s just 2 blocks away from Chinatown!
Our room was beautifully decorated, elegant, and spacious — perfect for a relaxing stay.
Service was outstanding and all the staff members were sincerely kind. Special thanks to Anthony for being so quick with valet parking.
I also enjoyed the 24 hour gym. They have a variety of equipment including pelotons!
Overall, would definitely come back again!

The Inn Above Tide
30 El Portal
$$$ • Sausalito
As a Bay Area native, unfortunately you forget some of the hidden gems which lie in a stones throw of where we reside. The Inn Above Tide takes you to a place that offers your mind and body the opportunity to rejuvenate and reset. As other patrons have mentioned, once you arrive the true experience of Sausalito begins. The service and hospitality given (not offered) is nothing short of phenomenal!
Superior quality, luxurious accommodations with world class scenic views of the city skyline and beyond, The Inn Above Tide is simply untouchable!

Waters Edge Hotel
25 Main St Belvedere
$ • Marin
We were on our first weekend stay in Marin and the Waters Edge kept showing up as the best place to stay.
It’s a long, narrow building so from the street we almost walked right by it. Looks more like a (very nice) storefront.
Hotel was very clean, it’s a small boutique hotel so the front desk person was tending to some other duties. He was back within minutes and was warm, welcoming and full of knowledge about the area.
Our room was ready right on time and we were very satisfied. Just as pictured, the room extended out over the water with a small balcony with premium views of Angel Island and the marina.
Room is spacious, as is the bathroom. It smelled very fresh and clean when we entered. Nice sized tv, huge comfortable bed. Bathroom was also very clean, stocked with quality products.
Restaurants and shops were all within walking distance so once I parked the car, we only took it back out once.
Complimentary gift bag in lieu of the wine and cheese reception was a welcome surprise. Best part of the stay for me was the fire pit on the shared deck. There were never many people out there and at night I sat by the firepit alone and blissfully listened to my book on tape. I grew up in Illinois so the 54 degree evenings were too cold for the Californians.
It is pricey, but for the location and the view, totally worth it. Quick note, the hotel is located on a small street in the middle of a busy row of shops and restaurants. If you happen to have anyone elderly or that has difficulty walking, just call the hotel and they will give you directions on how to best handle the guest and luggage drop off.
Both people that helped us at the front desk were friendly, approachable and great hosts. We’ll be back.

Hotel Drisco Pacific Heights
2901 Pacific Ave
$$$ • Pacific Heights
Have been coming to San Francisco for 40 years and this was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The place is elegantly understated and appointed. Their location in Pacific Heights is very quiet, extremely safe and filled with beautiful mansions. The staff accommodated us with an early check-in and when we had to leave very early before breakfast started.
There’s 24-hour room service. They have an incredibly fresh, diverse and expansive breakfast buffet included, as well as a big complimentary Happy Hour spread with a lot of wine and beer choices.
The room was large with a very comfortable bed, great chairs, a big bathroom and a nice desk area.
This will be our go-to Hotel in the future. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

The Inn at Union Square
440 Post St
$$ • Union Square
What a delightful stay at this cute little inn in the middle of union square! Perfect location. Spacious room. Friendly staff. Clean (which is important during these times). Reasonably priced. I would stay here again 10/10 and here’s why:
Early flight arriving in SF by 8am can be disastrous especially since we realized that the normal front desk would be nonexistent and worry set in that we would need to transport our luggage up and down the rolling hills of the city. We were not ready for that kind of workout. Our unique code to enter the building wasn’t working either since check in was not until 3pm. However, not only did the friendliest employee let us in so that we could change into more appropriate non-plane clothes in the staff bathroom, but the front desk staff informed us that our room was ready. So, the inn does have a front desk in the back and the staff are very nice and helpful!
The rooms were spacious and the king bed was extremely comfortable for the two of us. We even had a sitting area with a keurig type machine to make coffee/tea. Robes were provided however we were not in the room long enough to adorn such luxurious attire. Oh and let me tell you about the soap as I’m quite a hotel soap snob (try to say that 5x fast). They had the oatmeal soap bars, which smelled nice and exfoliated your skin.
I forget what floor it was on, but there’s complimentary coffee/tea (Peets and mighty leaf) until 11am. So we loved stopping by that floor before trekking into the city. There’s also a FloWater refill station on one floor so bring your water bottle on your travel and get some electrolytes.
Last but not least, the hotel staff was so accommodating when we asked for a late checkout on Sunday. Normal checkout is 11am and they extended us to 12pm… even a little longer as I needed to “get ready” (girl problems).
Anyways, this was a perfect stay for a 3-day weekend and first big trip since COVID. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to stay again when we make our way back up here.

The Metro Hotel
319 Divisadero St
$ • Lower Haight
The BEST STAY ever!! Staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Ricardo and Kyle, reached out via text in advance to speed up check in process and let us know that our late check in at 7pm would be fine. We were greeted with water bottles upon arrival and our deposit was waived. The bed was adorned with artificial roses giving it a nice touch; bed was also really comfy. Room was very clean and bathroom was really nice!!! Loved the shower and awesome bathroom lighting with a dimmer and huge vanity mirror. Felt like home away from home. We loved how cozy everything was with our own private little garage. Staff was on site securing the premises and hotel had a closed gate overnight. The natural flowers were gorgeous and well maintained. Everything was beautiful as if we had a tiny house to ourselves. My kiddo was even given a gift from the front desk. Thank you The Metro Hotel. We will be back 🙂
