Southern Sleigh Ride Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 oz/60 ml Bourbon
  • .5 oz/15 ml Cointreau
  • 1 oz/30 ml Lime Juice
  • .5 oz/15 ml Orgeat *
  • .25 oz/7.5 ml Ginger Syrup **

Method

1. Add all of the ingredients to a shker tin.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Free pour into a rocks glass wich crushed ice.
4. Garnish witha lime wedge.

How To Make Orgeat

Ingredients

  • 8 oz/240 ml Chopped Almonds
  • 12 oz/360 g White Sugar
  • 10 oz/300 ml Water
  • 1 Tsp/5 ml Orange Flower water
  • 1 oz/30 ml Brandy

Method

1. Add water and sugar to sauce pan and heat until clear.
2. Chop almonds into small bits and add to sugar syrup.
3. Simmer for three minutes and gradually increase temperature until mixture boils.
4. Remove from Heat and add Brandy and Orange Flower water to mixture.
5. Let sit for 3-8 hours.
6. Strain using two layers of cheese cloth or a nut milk bag, and bottle.

Ingredients
