National recognition came from the Creedence Clearwater Revival song “Lodi” and continued with the “2015 Wine Region of the Year” award given to Lodi by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

McConnell: ‘Stupid’ for corporations to speak out on politics

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday blasted U.S. corporations for getting involved in national political debates, saying such decisions are alienating to consumers.

The Associated Press reported that McConnell made the remarks at a press conference, referring to criticism of Georgia’s new voting law by Coca-Cola and other companies.

“It’s quite stupid to jump in the middle of a highly controversial issue,” McConnell told reporters.

Michelle Phan is worth a lot more money than you think

Michelle Phan is one of the original YouTube stars. Back in 2006, she started posting YouTube videos, primarily makeup tutorials, while she was working as a waitress. Using her artistic eye, she shared all kinds of how-tos on her account and quickly saw the number of views and subscribers skyrocket. Her content has always been varied and caters to a large number of people, like showing someone with glasses how to accentuate their eyes or how to get ready for a date night if you want a minimal look.

Robinson II, A. – Chi (WR)

Allen Robinson II Fantasy Football Outlook (2021) (7/9) Advice: Opportunity is everything, right? It’s why despite Robinson’s lackluster quarterback play, he’s been able to finish as a top-12 receiver in back-to-back seasons. The upgrade to Andy Dalton was solid, but if the Bears play Justin Fields, it could be even better. Based on opportunity alone, Robinson should have finished as the WR4 in each of the last two seasons (that’s based on how many targets he saw and where he saw them), so there’s certainly room for improvement in his finish. Robinson has proven to be a WR1 with bad quarterback play in this same offense, making him one of the safer options as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2. (FantasyPros.com)

Why Trump should resign today

Donald Trump probably could not have been a worse person to lead Americans through the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is a man who “fueled confusion and conspiracies from the earliest days of the coronavirus pandemic,” as PolitiFact recently documented in its annual “Lie of the Year” designation. The nonpartisan group gave its 2020 “award” to “coronavirus downplay and denial”— in which it said Trump had been the conductor of the “symphony of counter narrative” about the virus.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Tiers: A shortage of QB1s until we see more from Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and others

For years the mantra about quarterback has remained the same: Just wait. There was so much talent and the gap between the best and the merely “good” was smaller than at other positions. Plus, it was extremely rare for the No. 1 quarterback to repeat in the following year. It was easy, in redraft at least, to just wait.

In Dynasty the equation has always been slightly different because quarterbacks have the longest careers, so locking up a young elite signal caller carried more value. That value has been enhanced over the past three years as a handful of quarterbacks have turned in elite performances before their 25th birthday.

NFL free agency 2021: Packers’ Aaron Jones has several attractive potential landing spots

Aaron Jones bet on himself in 2020, and it paid off mightily. While his season ended unceremoniously at the hands of the eventual Super Bowl-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 26-year-old was off to the races for much of the year and became one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL. His dominance last season has him sitting atop a robust free agency class of halfbacks this offseason, and there’s arguably quite a bit of distance between first place and the rest of the field.

Trevor Lawrence Highlights

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence
Junior 6’6 220 lbs

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has been called the best draft prospect since Andrew Luck. The hype increased after he beat Alabama in the National Championship as a True Freshman. Lawrence has had almost a perfect college career. He’s only lost two games, but those losses both came in the playoff. One was in the National Championship last year to Joe Burrow. Lawrence might be the best NFL prospect to not win a Heisman, but he’s most likely going to be the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft regardless.

17 Famous Movie Lines That Were Geniusly Improvised

Improvisation is a sword most actors learn how to wield. However, only the ones who’ve mastered the art can come up with an absolutely killer line on the spot, often making for some of the most memorable movie moments.
Here are 17 iconic movie lines actors came up with on the spot:

Hockenson, T.J. – Det (TE)

2021 fantasy outlook for T.J. Hockenson, TE, Detroit Lions (6/23) Advice: After his breakout 2020, T.J. Hockenson should be drafted as a top-five tight end as early as Round 7. The truth is, we’re hopeful 2020 was just the beginning of the breakout, as Hockenson has a huge target opportunity with Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, and Danny Amendola all gone. Still, Hockenson hasn’t been particularly efficient in his young career and he’s facing a downgrade at quarterback, so it’s best not to reach too high on the potential future star. Hockenson is closer in redraft value to the likes of Noah Fant and Logan Thomas than he is to Darren Waller and George Kittle. (CBSSports.com)

Fulgham, T. – Phi (WR)

2021 fantasy player outlook for Travis Fulgham, WR, Philadelphia Eagles (6/23) Advice: For a stretch of games in 2020, Travis Fulgham looked like a star Fantasy receiver — and a top receiver in the NFL. Then reality hit, and Fulgham returned to being a relative unknown. Which Fulgham will show up in 2021? The Eagles and Fantasy managers are anxious to find out, and Fulgham could have a prominent role this year. From Weeks 4-8 last season, Fulgham was amazing with five games in a row with at least 12 PPR points, including four touchdowns over that span. However, over his next eight games, Fulgham scored a combined 16 PPR points, and his playing time was limited. The Eagles might need Fulgham to play a big role this season behind rookie DeVonta Smith, and that’s something to keep an eye on training camp. Fulgham is worth speculating on with a late-round pick in all leagues. (CBSSports.com)

Donald Trump spying allegations: more likely useful idiot than Putin’s agent

The question of Donald Trump’s relationship with the Kremlin has surfaced once again, this time in a new book by veteran US journalist Craig Unger. The book, American Kompromat, claims that the former US commander-in-chief was cultivated as a Russian intelligence asset for more than four decades.

It’s not the first time this has been reported. In 2017 the former Moscow correspondent for The Guardian Luke Harding published a book: Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win, which propounded roughly the same idea – that Trump had been courted for years after marrying his first wife, Ivana Zelnickova, a model from Czechoslovakia. And then there’s the Christopher Steele dossier, published in 2017 with its allegations of honey-trap blackmail and bizarre sexual practices. Although this came with a big “handle-with-care” caveat.
